International Shoe Sizes

The standards of the international shoes sizes differ from others. Europe uses their own system of measurement than those used in the United States.  Sizes often need to be converted because various fine products are imported.
When shopping for shoes when you are away from home or overseas, there is one important feature you must pay special attention to. The word “Last” represents the form as in the shape of the foot, where the leather is stretched over when the shoe is made and are made in various shapes. You will find some with round toes areas, some broad and some lasts will be pointed and more on the narrow side.
You can use these last measurements as a reference when buying shoes: Plaza last-will be a little longer than U.S. size, Van last-1/2 to 1/4 size larger than a the U.S. regular size, Trubalance last-almost 1/2 size larger than the U.S. size, Modified last-will be at least a half size larger than the U.S. regular size, Barrie last-is also a half size larger than the regular U.S. size of shoe and the Aberdeen last- you will find it to be slightly longer than a U.S. regular size.
