Accessories for 2009

Another immortal part of women’s fashion is accessorizing.  Women are just as invested in accessories as they are with anything else that concerns women’s fashion.  It is very much a part of their shopping ritual as everything else.  2009 offers a lot of the old and many new accessories for you to mix and match.

Hair Accessories- Leather headbands, crystal head wraps, floral hair Pins, crystal Barrettes, and beaded hair combs are just some of the most popular hair accessories this season especially in the spring.  Whether you sport a short hairdo or you have long locks, there are many hair accessories that will fit you.

Belts- there are metals belts, braided belts, and embellished belts that come in various colors.  Bold colors are also in to compliment the generally whimsical look that is coming back this year.

Bags are becoming more and more an accessory than something to put things in.  Women’s fashion dictates that bags are part of the whole ensemble and choosing one should involve a lot of mixing and matching.  Oversized bags are out this season.  Modest sized bags are all the rage in 2009.  Light, neutral, and pale colours are in.  Although pastels and bolds are still acceptable, the theme of the season is basic and functional minimalism.

Women consider a watch as more of jewellery than a time telling tool.  The trend for watches in 2009 is very diverse.  The round but sharp angled ones are in, as well as irregular shaped ones.  Diamond studded watches are still fashionable but not as popular as gold plated pieces.
